For GPS I use the TOM TOM app on my iPhone 4. I works better than the actual TOM TOM device my wife has in her truck... But be warned it will kill the battery on your phone.

I have labrynth which is kinda fun. Zombie farm-like farmville but you grow zombies and use them in your zombie army to fight your neighbours. iMDB is good for settling bets. the LCBO app is neat if you like your giggle juice.

Does anyone use their iPhone as an OBD2 code reader? I see DashCommand is popular, but anything else that's better? And what cable are huh using? The cables are fairly expansive in comparison to a regular scanner.

You can get Bluetooth interface on eBay for 15$ and hook it to your android phone without cables, you can also use android tablet as your dash using torque for android app..

Akafred, it's called the iPhone app thread for a reason

But I have noticed the android guys having the leg up in this with cheaper connectors and better app from what I hear. Now OBD2 to USB connectors are pretty cheap, I wonder if that could be used with an iPhone adapter?

Found a new game. Crime City. It's free. Mafia type game, beat people up, rob them, extortion, etc.

If you get in to it shoot me a PM as it is one of those games where you connect with friends and it will give you advantages in the game.

I bought a "go point" BT1 bluetooth obd2 reader. works awesome. I just leave it plugged into the Jeep.

That's the route I'd go as well, or the WiFi adapter unless you can find a pretty cheap cable. With WiFi and bluetooth, you're not limited to just one phone. Heck the iPhone 5 has a different cable than the 4.

I went with BT since I dont have to worry about the cable getting tangled or damaged... Besides that, the OBD2 port on my Jeep isnt under the dash...

    iPhone apps/games?

Been a while since this thread has been brought up.

Wondering if anybody has any experience with iGo Primo navigation app?

Installing a pioneer deck with advanced app mode in the wife's van and apparently this app can be used to display full screen on the pioneer as well as being used in "offline mode" meaning no constant data usage for GPS guidance like some other apps.

Looks like the app will run about $25, then an in-app purchase of $35 for appradio support to run with the pioneer.

$60+tax with no data usage fees seems like a decent price, but kinda want to know more about the app first.
