so, a couple changes to my 2nd favourite redhead, had a fun winter on the wrenches. went with HD's chubby ape kit, and OEM forward controls instead of fthe floorboards.

And, traded my mustang for an 05 FLHTP former OPP bike. nice daily for riding to work.

    Thanks fellas.

last owner after Her Majesty the Queen was the only civilian owner since it was taken out of service in '08. he took care of it ok, until the last couple years of a rough divorce, blah blah blah. he sure didn't know f_ck all about wiring, thats for sure. All sins are hidden by the batwing fairing...... it was like the nazi's opening the arc of the covenant when I went to replace the stereo...... yeesh

she needs new slip ons, one has a baffle that rattles pretty bad and the bolts are stripped to get it out. I'm looking for a cheap set of Rinehart 4" slip-ons, missed out on a set on kijiji but my eyes are peeled. let me know if any cross your path

I'll do the inner fairing this winter. she's pretty beat up from the cop stuff and this guy glued a couple metallica ornaments to it that when i removed one, whatever he used for adhesive took plastic with it. I do like Metallica and all, but you know........ epoxying ornaments on is all a bit much if i'm honest. I was gonna do a painted inner, but I think i like the OE look for this bike. If anything I'll do a nicer looking matte black.

I wanted to take all chrome bars, fork tins, fork legs, and a few other brackets and such and have the chrome stripped and powder coated black. I'd also like to update the signals to the OE bullet style with a rear bar and on the front light bar, with updated lighting and black bezels. I kinda want the same look as my softail, paint colour and place, with a touch of chrome at the engine.

So far I picked up a street glide windscreen, progressive rear lower shocks, tinted lenses, installed a kenwood marine deck, made a longer USB cable to put my iPod in the bag, installed an HD garage door opener transmitter ( I have one on the other bike, it's awesome) stripped off the fender bumpers, and fiddled with the tuning a bit. Gonna do brake pads tonight, check fluids, tighten bolts etc.

I might keep it, I might sell it to pay down the softail and trade up to a 2016 RG while they're still around. meh, either way, life is wayyyyyy better on a decker.

I've got an extra inner fairing for a 2011 street glide if you're interested. Not sure if it fits or not.

well, 2 bikes was dumb. I rode the flhtpi way more than the fls, and decided on staying with a touring bike so i took them both out to Robinson's and dealt them on a 2010 flhx. custom paint set by harley #21/200, and loaded with HD options and bolt-ons. cruise control is really nice to have. took it on a rip to an hour east of ottawa and back the other week. what a nice ride. I now ride it in to work almost daily....
