Well if all goes as planned this weekend, Betty's makeover will begin! Includes, stinger fab/chop, fenders and paint.

First is chopping down the stinger a bit and install new fenders. Hopefully I can start prepping for her new color soon as well

I actually have two colors picked, Burple was first choice but seems to be way more work and money then I expected. Second choice is a Jaguar color. Looks black in dull lighting and goes Metallic blue/purple in the sun light. Way cheaper and less work

Since Betty will only be used for DD and maybe some light trails, I'm thinking the snorkel won't be going back on either. Still debating this.

Not sure when the paint prep will begin. Gotta wait till we know when the painter will be in town or find someone to spray for me. I'm okay with small stuff and a rattle can, not sure I trust myself with real paint and a real gun lol

Can't wait! She never really looked all that "new" when I bought her. She had the beginning of fender rot that I fixed up a few times but so far gone now that it was time for new ones. The clear coat started pealing a year after my mom bought it, so this paint job will be worth the time and effort to make her look good again.
