this smmer igot a set of 33s on renagade rims so i through them on a lil tight with no lift then te nextday went out with the juys from twin rivers offroaders

got the flares off it looks like i have more work then i thought both sides look the same
mostly mud but big rust hole under just in front of the doors on ither side

Anything can be done. Have a look at my (de)Renegade rebuild thread, in sig.
It may be worth finding a new tub. It was for me. Even thou this tub isn't close to perfect, it's wayyy faster, cheaper and easier to save a few bucks and buy a half decent tub and fix it instead.

that IMO is a prime opportunity to boat side the tub and cut out all of the rust. but if the tub looks real bad be prepared to be replacing body mounts etc.

i already have the 2 bodymounts that need replaceing right by the roll bar i have a welder and lots of cuttin disks im ready lol i may do steel plates around the skirt as i am not sure if i am doining the renegade kit anymore it holds to much crap asmuch as i like the difference from most people

^ if you ever start playing on the rocks you will tear off any of the skirting easily. I would recommend that you remove the renegade package and sell it to recoup some of the costs.
as for boat sides there are several ways to do them. Have a look at my thread you will see my version of how to build a YJ, including boatsides. Its nice to see another YJ reserrected. Again good luck on the build I will watch to see how you choose to build it.

also, the interweb box is a great tool. research, research, research. It will give you ideas and advice on what to and what not to do.

got a little more done pulled the fender and the bumper love the fact that it was undercoated so boots come out easer
i have decided to make tube fenders out of my steel ones and boatside my tub thx for the idea Jak. my other half demanded that i keep the flares for her future jeep

i am leaning towards soa on older 2.5 lift springs so about 6 inchs altogether
i am going back to school in pembroke so its going to be a slow pace for it now
i will definatly be in need of help to remove the tub

Good idea on getting a new frame. Did you talk to Scotty Behm? He has a couple YJ's in his yard.
While you are at it maybe it would be a good idea to get some rear leafs with a little offset so you can stretch the rear axle back a bit.
What are you going to be taking?

if the frame is chewed... I would make a new one, they are simple to make with the correct tools and knowledge. check out some builds on pirate and see how people are doing it.

i dont have a big enough welder nor do i have a garage im doing all the work on my dirt driveway it would be ideal if i had a welder and shop i know my welds would be more than strong enough
