Well after the weekends weather and a short workday today i got home and installed the transmission swapped out the tj power steering pump for a v8 grand cherokee pump, so the pully's will all have the same grooves. Also put on the steel heater hose line that comes off the water pump, had to use the v8 grand cherokee one for that too as the dodge one was in the way to install the power steering pump.
Also had to source out a crankshaft sensor for manual transmission.the jeep one is different as is the auto transmission from the dodge ram donor . With some research i found a few different models of dodge trucks that ran them... next time I'd jus buy new... i didn't this time jus to save a few bucks....
Gas tank and lines got installed as well , all the vacuum lines put on and hooked up.
And some fab work is needed hereas you can see the shifter is sitting 2.5" forward from where it should be, the transmission mount also needs to moved forward 2.5"....

Well now i have had some good wrench time in and got alot done.... shocks are in, breaklines and flex lines are in,
Had to modify the bracket that mounts the power steering pump to the block... after sourcing a belt an getting it on after swaping a pully i found the power steering pump was sitting one grove of the belt forward from all the rest....
Also got the rad in and all the hoses hooked up after making some hoses work....
Also fired it up Saturday morning about 930am..... been messing around with crankshaft sensors, i ended up having to buy a new one.... motor sounds great!! But will be better when i get an exhaust on it... next up is to modify shifter, tranny mount and have both driveshafts shortened.....

**** yea bud.... Can't wait to see her on the trails
Ok fellas we are reaching the end point of the rebuild....
I got the driveshafts in and set the front caster to 4.5° and at that the Pinon angle in damn close. Can't remember the actual numbers at the moment... the rear looks ok but im sure it needs to go down a degree or 2....
Also got the shifter modified and installed!!
I also finally got rid of the factory tie rod bar and swapped in a solid steel one from a grand cherokee....

Next up is getting the new track bar and bracket installed.... after that its jus a few small things to clear up set the toe in and double check all bolts tight oh and rear main and oil pan seal as they started to seep oil....

Ok so we are just a few days away from jk101 and my rebuild is almost complete...
Track bar and mount installed!!! Rear pinion angle set
Front caster set and the pinion angle is damn close
Rearmain seal replaced
Oilpan seal replaced
Alignment set
Electric fan installed
Temporarily fixed rear end locker will be swapped in at a later date...
All that's left is mount cb and
lengthen the 4x4 shifter rod
Wire up offroad lights
Reinstall rocklights
Now there is still some upgrades to be done, but they will be done as time/money allows as for paint well the wife has chosen candy apple red but again that has to wait...
The v8 swap was a success and i believe that it should have been a factory option. I love the power, sound and the feeling it brings....
