DVP and 401 - Brake caliper help

I really hesitate to post this but here goes nothing.. I’m on a cargo ship in the middle of Lake Superior (or I would go help myself), and a very young co-worker just texted me that he is basically stranded. Likely going to sleep in his Truck outside an ex gf’s place at DVP and 401. Full details are really too embarrassing for the guy for me to post here, but honestly if anyone ever needed some “Christmas spirit” it’s this guy. Please PM if you have a heated garage and could look at his front tire, sounds like caliper is falling off. I’d be willing to send an e-transfer to help cover costs
    Thanks
    Travis

Thanks, I hate to do it, but will likely suggest he goes to canadian tire, guess I’ll lend him some money. I remember being broke and not having a car.. 21yo has spent the last 6 months applying to every job possible, barely gets a response let alone interviews. I didn’t realize how sad the work situation is in Toronto for someone with no skills.

My garage isn't well heated but if he can get the rig to Richmond hill and he doesn't mind helping to push a dead xj out of the way I can take a look, see if i can help.

So just an update, his tire actually fell off trying to go three blocks up the street to a local mechanic. So he pulled over, and 5 minutes later he was rear ended.. and the guy just took off.

So what’s left of the truck is at a mechanic, and he is staying on my buddies couch.
Thanks for all the offers to help!
