Ive noticed that lately when I go to close it, it bounces back having hit the latch...I guess the gate is sagging slightly...I dunno. Anyone else have this problem?

Yes, it is a fairly common issue. Especially, if the truck is wheeled. It is always the best practice to run a dedicated tire carrier with 35's and up. The aftermarket has a lot of solutions for JK's in that regard.

I run a teraflex heavy duty tailgate tire carrier, I have 37" no rattles. They are pricey, but worth it! It completely replaces your tailgate hinges. I am also in Whitby so if you want to see it, pop by

Well I purchased a smittybilt tire barrier for the 35s so I didn’t think I’d have this problem, but I guess ur saying some of the carriers have a support that rests on rear bumper of something?

No all wieght is on the tailgate hinges. Worth the money. Swings easily. I didn't want a swing out from a bumber as I have never had a quiet one, they always rattled on my YJ and TJ, So this time I spent the money and got this one for my JKU. I have heard Smittybuils rattle.
